One Size Does NOT Fit All...

Us girls and dad on Father's Day

I've been wanting to do a blog post but I haven't really had anything to exciting to blog about lately. However, there are some BIG things coming up soon!  But until then I have decided to blog about my SISTERS!  I don't mean to sound like they are not BIG things, because in truth, they are VERY BIG things in my life.  I truly can't imagine life without them.  I feel very blessed that we have such  HIGHLY FUNCTIONING relationships between us.  You hear of so many families who just can't seem to get a long.  How sad would that be?
I've been thinking about this a bit, and I've decided that maybe things work our well for us because we are all a bit different, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL.  It's those little individual differences that when put together in one unit that seem to strengthen us as a group.
I've been thinking about this all day and trying to pin point the differences in each one of my sisters, something that is uniquely them.  Here is what I came up with:

DEANN-She is they type of person who just quietly sits back and observes and then out of the blue will surprise/impress you with something she says or does.  She always has cute hair, blue eyes and a smile. She's funny even when she doesn't mean to be, and she's SKINNY!

KRISTY-To me, Kristy is the most sincere one of the bunch.  You know when she invites you to her house, it's because she REALLY wants you there!  She is truly compassionate.  She is artistic, whitty and has her own wacky fashion line of versitle odds and ends that she uses as lovely little accessories. They make her unique. She's a worrier who doesn't like to try new things, but has done things that none of the rest of us ever will.

RANAE-She's the ROCK of the family.  It scares me to think of where we would be without her.  She is SO good at making sure that we schedule in family time.  She's a planner!  And although we sometimes give her a hard time over it, I for one am grateful! Family always comes first to her. She is also SMART and has done a lot with her smarts! Not only did dad enjoy bragging about her, I did and still do!

MELINDA-The baby, what else can I say!  Everyone loves babies, and everyone loves Melinda!  She's a favorite aunt of the kids because she likes to have fun.  She's a botinist, or at least should be.  She's a collector of antiques, she's not a morning person, and she's a bit of a rebel!

Not only am I blessed to have them, but I'm also very fortunate to have a bonus sister as well, ANGIE.  She's an extra little something to our family and we all love her.

Since I've only got one sister-in-law, I'm grateful I've got the one I do. CASIE is one of a kind!  She would do anything in the world for you!  She's tuff and a softie at the same time.  I love her to pieces!

So there are just a few little things about them that make them unique and special to me.  Each one of us have our own individual differences that make us who we are. I wish I could say that I am just a good mix of all of the good in each of them.  That would make me a TOTAL PACKAGE!

I'm so thankful to have been blessed with such wonderful sisters.  I love them all so much.

  2. Connie, you are a little bit of what we are all made up of, and you are a LOT of what we all look up to and want to "grow up" and become! Thanks for the post, I think I needed this!
